About Amanda's Book

THE NEW MOM CODE

Shatter Expectations and Crush It at Motherhood

Forget everything society has taught you about becoming a mom

Successful curve model Amanda Tice is here to tell you what motherhood is really like.

Standing exposed in a scant bikini in front of Heidi Klum’s creative team, revealing a postpartum body she hardly recognized, Amanda faced the harsh realization that she would never be her “old self” again.

In refreshingly honest, hilarious, and raw conversation, Amanda takes you through her clumsy journey into motherhood and shares how she learned to embrace her new self—stretch marks, rolls, and all. With journal prompts, exercises, and “Tice Advice,” Amanda helps you

  • Understand what really takes place postpartum—mentally and physically.
  • Thrive through the first few years of motherhood.
  • Learn how to love and embrace your new identity.

This book will rewire your brain and rewrite your new mom code—because, Mama, you deserve to have it all (and more)!

“Every mom needs a relatable and blunt mom friend to talk about the truths of motherhood, but in a way that doesn’t scare them. Amanda delivers in The New Mom Code. As someone who is working to normalize the necessity of infant sleep, I was happy to see Amanda share the importance of prioritizing rest and sleep for the entire family as an important ingredient in surviving the first years of motherhood.”

“In The New Mom Code, Amanda shares her stories of feeling completely lost in postpartum motherhood . . . and boy can I relate. She encourages us to search for who we are outside of the label Mom, who we want to be, and what lights us up in a time that can feel like exhausting and exciting daily explorations of new frontiers. In a time when it feels like everything has changed, our bodies included, we’re allowed to feel wobbly while discovering who we are again.”

The author lovingly gives away all those hidden truths for new mothers. The way she opens up about her experiences and research throughout motherhood would have been such a comfort when I was having my first child. It’s light, fun and truly hilarious but is also raw and incredibly honest. It really is everything you could want in a read for Mamas!

I wish I would of had this book as a first time mom. It hit me to my core while reading it and I’m on my third kid! But even now, even as a mom of three it was just as meaningful to read. Being a mom is hard, finding a tribe to support you in the journey is hard and trusting yourself to be the best for your kids everyday is hard but when I read this book it helped me put it all into perspective. It’s truthful and real. I love that it related to me now just as much as it would have when my first was born. This life raising kids is so special and I love it but in those hard moments or moments you feel alone this book helps you know you aren’t alone and to live by this new mom code! I’ve already told all my mom friends to read it- including my 62 year old momma!!! It’s a book for us all!

I loved this book! It's such a good book to read when you are pregnant, so you can get a real idea of what to expect, rather than what the normal parenthood text books tell you! It tells it like it is, warts and all! It's something you can refer back to again and again, to remind yourself that your life doesn't end just because you have become a mother, you have to make time for YOU as well. A great book - and I love the cover too! A great gift for anyone you know who is pregnant.
